For those of us who travel or endure long commutes, it’s often very easy to find ourselves slipping into bad habits and giving into quick, convenient and unhealthy snacks. Here we give you some tips on how to curb those that little devilish voice in your ear (and stomach) and stay healthy on the go!

cher tFight it out with Fruit and Veg!

If you want to eat healthy: fruit and veg is non-negotiable.

As well as being packed with nutrients, fruits are low on calories, high on taste and can even improve alertness, mood and brain function! Perfect for when slipping into that sticky sleep!

Frozen grapes are a firm favourite as well- try opting for red grapes as opposed to green or purples as they’re chock full with more antioxidants.

Vegetables are great for filling up that  empty tummy feeling and can be paired with dip, sauces and dressing. Try a bag of cherry tomatoes, a stick of celery or even just an apple or banana on your way.

Get Nutty!

nutsNothing quite satisfies that nibbling craving like a pack of peanuts. Better yet, nuts are a powerful foodstuff when it comes to keeping the heart healthy. Nuts contain Vitamin E to prevent the development of plaques in your arteries, plant sterols which lower cholesterol and L-arginine which improves the health of your artery walls.

A Little Yoghurt Never Hurt!

Greek yogurt is one of the most popular snacks for both foodies, veggies and health lovers. Packed full of protein, yoghurts also provide gut-friendly probiotic bacteria as well as calcium.
