Wolverhampton man arrested on suspicion of encouraging an act of terrorism

A MAN from Wolverhampton has been arrested by West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit in connection with a website blog which featured a list of MPs who allegedly voted for the Iraq war.

The 23-year-old man, from Dunstall, Wolverhampton, was arrested at his home on suspicion of encouraging an act of terrorism, police said.

Officers conducted a search at his home address and a computer and electronic equipment was seized for examination.

Police said the arrest was in connection with a website blog, which featured a list of British MPs it claimed had voted for the Iraq war.

Det Chief Inspector John Denley, said: “We are treating the contents and implications of this blog very seriously, and have taken action this morning to progress our investigation.”
