Actor admits he’s backing himself for the 2010 Time 100 Poll

HE may be Bollywood’s biggest star, and he may be at the helm of a superstar cricket team, but that hasn’t stopped Shah Rukh Khan from voting for himself in an international poll!

The actor admitted he took the plunge and gave himself a vote in Time magazine’s Top 100 poll to find the most influential person of the year.

Writing on his Twitter page he said: “Went & voted for myself on the Time poll 2010 for most influential. Can’t think of a more cheesy thing I have done lately!”

Khan joins fellow actress Preity Zinta as the only Bollywood stars to make it onto the nominations list.

The duo are competing alongside the likes of current American President Barack Obama and singers Lady Gaga and Beyonce.

But it looks like Khan may have more fans then he thinks – the actor is currently sitting in 9th position having amassed nearly 5,000 votes.

That’s more then Obama and Beyonce – but not as much as Lady Gaga who is sitting pretty at the top with over 19,000 votes!

The Top 100 will be officially announced by Time at the end of the month.
