Congratulations are in order after Kareena Kapoor Khan delivered her first child. There has been much speculation as to whether the star couple would be having a boy or a girl and what the potential names would be. Saif previously had to tell the media that no, it’s not ‘Saifeena.’
However it has now been confirmed that the child is a boy and has been named Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi. Kareena delivered the child at 7.30am on December 20th in a hospital in Bandra, Mumbai, India.
Proud father Saif, who already has two children, issued a statement: ““We are very pleased to share with you all the wonderful news about the birth of our son: Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, on the 20th of December 2016.
“We would like to thank the media for the understanding and support they have given us over the last 9 months, and of course especially our fans and well wishers for their continued affection.”
“Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all…With love, Saif & Kareena.”
Kareena previously told the media that the much adored Bollywood couple had no qualms whether the child be a boy or girl. “The strange part is that Saif and I have never really asked ourselves whether we want a boy or a girl.
“It’s the first time, so we want what God has decided for us. That’s why we haven’t even thought of names. Saif loves surprises, and he likes the excitement of not knowing. So he said ‘Listen, let’s just keep it at that.”
