Parvy Rakar’s Triple Nomination Success

Wedding planner and accomplished businesswoman, Parvy Rakar is living the high-life. Having been nominated for three awards in the space of three months and setting up her business just over a year ago, the mother of two says the experience has been overwhelming. Born and brought up in a small town called Chatham in Kent, she has been able to form a career in creating the perfect day for couples. Having ditched a 16-year-old career as a business manager in the care industry, she decided to follow her heart and embrace her dream. Based in the Midlands, she has worked effortlessly to not only achieve her vision of setting up her own business but she has become one of the most distinguished names in the wedding industry.

Her nomination for Wedding Planner of the Year at this year’s Asian Wedding Awards comes after she had been shortlisted for both an Asian Professional Award, under the category of Creative and Design and an Institute of Asian Businesses Award, in the category of Outstanding Business Woman.

Parvy is renowned for the most creative and luxury weddings in the UK. Having set the bar high with her attention to detail and natural ability to personalise events to the couple’s taste, which is beyond articulation, she has firmly made her mark in the wedding industry and to become a leader in her chosen career path. “I can visualise the bigger picture and can make it happen systematically by steering the right skill mix with suppliers whom I have an excellent working relationship with.”

The Asian Wedding Awards celebrates the hard work, tireless devotion, creativity and inspiration of 1000’s of small businesses that make up the Asian wedding industry in the UK, and for one night they will be celebrated for all their efforts in making wedding dreams become a reality.

The Asian Professional Awards offers a platform to highlight the very best in Asian talent in the UK and we are expecting the competition to be intense. From bankers to lawyers, and from medicine to the media world, Asians have contributed massively to British society over the last few decades. The time is ripe for those net contributors to the British economy and society to be acknowledged in public, and we are proud to be hosting this event.

The IAB awards celebrate the achievements and success of individuals and companies whose skill, ambition, enthusiasm, and sheer hard work have enabled them to excel in their business pursuits.
