Two Arrested After Yardley Park Stabbing

16-year-old Boy Was Stabbed

An investigation has been launched following a disturbance at a park in Yardley yesterday afternoon during which a 16-year-old boy was stabbed.


Emergency services were called to Oaklands Recreation Ground on Holder Road to a report of a fight in progress just after 4pm.


The teenager was taken to hospital by air ambulance with stab wounds to his back.


Two youths, aged 16 and 18, have been arrested in connection with the disorder and remain in custody this morning.

Police are working closely with Community Street Watch and extra officers will be on patrol throughout the weekend to reassure local residents.
