MORE than thirty children and young people with disabilities from Birmingham enjoyed a night out at the theatre thanks to a generous donation from their local PC World.

The extra special present took them to see Peter Pan at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre.

Sandwell Asian Family Support Service (SAFSS) was nominated for the trip by Satnam Mander of PC World Selly Oak branch as part of the firm’s Switched On Communities programme.

SAFSS Chief Executive Parpinder Dhatt said: “Every year our children and young people ask if they can attend a local theatre performance as many are unable to attend either for economic or access reasons.

“As a local charity supporting South Asian children and young people with disabilities we aim to create a range of opportunities and experiences for South Asian children and young people with disabilities and thanks to PC World we have been able to achieve this.

“I would like to thank Satnam and PC World for supporting Sandwell Asian Family Support Service in this way and for creating a wonderful experience for our children and young people. They thoroughly enjoyed the performance and to see the smiles on their faces was very special indeed.”

The theatre trip was enjoyed by 23 children and young people all from the Sandwell area.

Sandwell Asian Family Support Service provides a range of services for South Asian children, young people and young adults who have a range of disabilities.
