Families can celebrate two of the most exciting events of the year, Diwali and Halloween, in one free event at the Swan Shopping Centre in Yardley!

On Thursday 31 October, a team of professional Rangoli artist will be on hand to work together with children to create a completely original giant artwork that will give this traditional Indian art form a spooky Halloween twist!

It’s the perfect opportunity for families to try something different and for kids to get creative over the half term holidays!

There will also be free face painting for kids on the day, so they can look their best ready for Halloween trick or treating.

The finished Rangoli artwork will be in display at the centre until 5pm on Sunday 3 November 2019 for people to come along and get a glimpse.

Barry Cartmell, Centre Manager at The Swan Shopping Centre comments

“We’re so excited to bring together the local community to celebrate these two wonderful cultural traditions.  The artists can’t wait to work with local children to teach them about Rangoli art, and to create a truly original artwork this Halloween!”

When: Thursday 31 October 2019, 11am-5pm

Where: Swan Shopping Centre, 20 Church Road, Yardley, Birmingham
