The lights lit up at the Diwali in London celebrations at Trafalgar Square as Bollywood superstar Manisha Koirala joined the festivities along with the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.

The actress who is known for her effortless performances right from 1942 A Love Story to the more recent Sanju, greeted the 60,000 strong audience at Trafalgar Square, adding a touch of glamour to the whole event.

Manisha, who was in London for her soon to be released book on her battle with cancer, enthralled the audience with her beauty and charm. Overwhelmed by the crowd’s present, in filmy style she quipped “Kuch kuch hota hai”, when host Nil Kumar asked her about how she felt celebrating the festival of lights with them. With Diwali being the festival celebrating the victory of light over darkness – Manisha Koirala epitomised it through her journey of overcoming cancer and jumping back to stardom with Sanju in the most inspirational manner.

Supported by Lebara, Diwali on the Square also saw the launch of Hotstar and had SBI UK and Vatika Naturals engage with the audience, making it a memorable day.
