The Birmingham Social Housing Partnership has won a bid to enable Restorative Justice to expand across Birmingham between 2016-2017.

Restorative Justice is an innovative project which seeks to resolve both complex and simple neighbour disputes and anti-social behaviour issues. The project builds on a pilot scheme by the Midland Heart and Pioneer Group which met with success.

The service is to be delivered through a team made up of 13 officers from Registered Providers and the West Midlands Police. This new project is thought to be the largest Restorative Justice project of its kind.

The BSHP is to launch an event for Restorative Justice in late September and hold a Restorative Justice week in November.
