Celebrate at Mid-Year Event

Mosaic’s committed mentors, teachers and supporters gathered last night in Birmingham to celebrate their achievements across the West Midlands region. Attendees spanned across Mosaic’s four mentoring programmes with people community from across the region to attend the event, which was held at KPMG’s offices. Amongst the guests were key note speakers Shabir Nawab, the WM RLG Chairman and Andy Argyle, partner at KPMG Birmingham.

The evening provided Mosaic’s supporters and mentors with an opportunity to network, meeting other likeminded individuals whilst sharing their experiences. It also recognised the hard work and commitment of the mentors and the positive contribution they have on the children they work with. Becky Mitchell, Regional Manager commented; “Mosaic is very thankful for their mentors; without whom none of our programmes would be able to get off the ground. These individuals have such a positive impact on so many children’s lives and this event gives us an opportunity to say thank you for their time, effort and great accomplishments.”

Several people who have been touched by Mosaic spoke at the event, including Mani Chandrasehan, a year 11 Kingsbury School student who took part in the Enterprise Challenge for two years in a row and who is part of Mosaic’s Youth Panel. “The Mosaic experience is what sparked my entrepreneurial flair and passion towards accomplishing any task I undertake. I am now also part of the Mosaic youth panel hoping to help young people across the UK to improve their organisational skills, strengthen their communication abilities and provide them with a stage to unveil coherence and articulacy.”

In addition several Oasis Academy Hobmoor pupils and their mothers attended the event following their attendance at a graduation ceremony to mark their completion of the Primary school programme earlier this month.
