Attacked Happened Outside Royal Bengal Restaurant

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in the Royal Bengal restaurant in the early hours of 10 September.

The 52-year-old employee received a cut to his head and concussion in the attack just before 5am after a woman came into the premises after closing time.

The man was taken to hospital where he received treatment for the injury and was later discharged.

Officers are looking for three people, at least one of whom was a woman. Forensic experts have examined the scene and officers continue to trawl CCTV in a bid to identify the culprits.

Detective Constable Helen Keating, from force CID, said: “I would like to reassure the Earlsdon community that this was an isolated assault. I am appealing for anybody who may have witnessed the offence or who has information about it to contact me.”

DC Keating can be contacted on 101 or information can be left anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
