Seven people now charged in connection with disappearance of Mahmood Ahmad

DETECTIVES investigating the kidnapping of a Watford man whose severed thumb was found three days after his disappearance have charged to women.

Mahmood Ahmad, 41, was kidnapped on March 7 and his dismembered thumb was discovered three days later in Ilford.

Police believe he was kidnapped from outside the family home on Radlett Road, Watford.

Sabra Sultana, aged 35, from Kiwi Terrace in Ilford, was charged with perverting the course of justice and conspiracy to falsely imprison. She is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court in June.

Wazirea George, aged 41, from Impey Close in Thorpe Astley, has been charged with assisting an offender. She is due to appear at West Herts Magistrates’ Court later this month.

Five other people have already been charged with Mr Ahmad’s kidnapping.

A man in his 30s from Croydon arrested in connection with the incident returned on police bail earlier this week and has been re-bailed by police until June.

Police continue to appeal for information about Mr Ahmad’s disappearance.

Those with information are asked to urgently call the incident room on 01707 355798.
