UFC star Conor McGregor is coming to Birmingham in September.
‘An Evening with Conor McGregor’, will take place at Arena Birmingham, formerly named the Barclaycard Arena, will include a live interview and will take place on Thursday 28th September.
The event will likely feature many questions about McGregor’s upcoming fight against Floyd Mayweather, which is set to take place this weekend.
Irishman McGregor changes combat sport for the fight when takes on undefeated Mayweather, with the event set to be the biggest pay-per-view event of all time.
“The Notorious”, as he is known, has been campaigning for the fight for some time and had his wish granted when the fight was officially announced two months ago in June.
28-year-old is set to make around $70 million for his part in the affair, a vast contrast to his career outlook five years ago when McGregor was fighting in front of a few hundred people in London.
After storming his way into the UFC ranks, Conor McGregor walked the walk after talking the talk beating opponent after opponent before unifying the UFC Featherweight Championship with a 13 second victory over Jose Aldo, the quickest victory in UFC title fight history.
In 2016, McGregor earned a TKO victory over Eddie Alvarez to become the first ever UFC Champion across two divisions, holding both the Featherweight and Lightweight titles.
Having taken over combat sport and forcing his way into the spotlight, UFC’s main money-maker McGregor will face off against Floyd Mayweather, considered by many to be the greatest boxer of all time, in arguably the most anticipated fight in combat sport history.
‘An Evening with McGregor’ is likely to be a must-see event, just as anything that contains the name ‘McGregor’ seems to be at the moment. As well as the interview, the event is also going to feature a meet-and-greet and auction.
