{"id":9539,"date":"2007-11-16T16:10:27","date_gmt":"2007-11-16T16:10:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2007\/11\/16\/family-of-champions\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T16:31:36","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T16:31:36","slug":"family-of-champions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2007\/11\/16\/family-of-champions\/","title":{"rendered":"Family of Champions!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>9-year-old follows in brother\u2019s footsteps<\/h3>\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"215\" hspace=\"10\" width=\"232\" align=\"right\" vspace=\"3\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/11\/NoorMohammed180x232.jpg\"\/>A NINE-year-old Birmingham boy has followed in his brother\u2019s footsteps and struck gold in kickboxing.<\/strong> <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Young Noor Muhammed was crowed British champion at the ISKA British Championships held at the Cocksmoor Woods Leisure Centre in Kings Heath Birmingham earlier this month. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>But he isn\u2019t the only champion to grace the family \u2013 his older brother Qasim \u2018The dream\u2019 Nisar has already cemented his place as one of the sport\u2019s most talented fighters with a host of titles already under his belt. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Noor, who takes the fighting name \u2018Nitro Noor\u2019, came through tough qualifying and tournament rounds on route to picking up his first National title win. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The youngster has trained at the USKA kickboxing club in Sparkhill Birmingham under the Instruction of Neil Kelly for the past three and a half years. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Noor was just one of a handful of youngsters who took eight medals back to the club after the Birmingham tournament.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Coach Neil Kelly said he was proud of all his fighters. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cThe boys and girls once again did me and the USKA gym proud showing that they are the next generation of kickboxer&#8217;s ready to break through onto the scene,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cThey all performed superbly on the day and all are training hard in an attempt to qualify for the World Championships in the Czech Republic next year.
