{"id":8651,"date":"2008-12-18T15:28:24","date_gmt":"2008-12-18T15:28:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2008\/12\/18\/pakistani-band-feels-effects-of-mumbai-atrocities\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T15:40:24","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T15:40:24","slug":"pakistani-band-feels-effects-of-mumbai-atrocities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2008\/12\/18\/pakistani-band-feels-effects-of-mumbai-atrocities\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistani band feels effects of Mumbai atrocities"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Release of debut album on hold<\/h3>\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"231\" hspace=\"10\" width=\"232\" align=\"right\" vspace=\"3\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/Roxen_232x180.jpg\"\/>A LEADING Pakistani rock band have delayed the release of their debut album in India in light of last months Mumbai terror attacks.<\/strong> <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Four-man-band Roxen said they understood it \u201cwasn\u2019t the right time\u201d to promote their debut album. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The band, currently signed with an Indian record label, were due to fly to Mumbai this week to begin promotional work. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The band&#8217;s lead vocalist, Mustafa Zahid, revealed: &#8220;It&#8217;s not the right time for us to release an album knowing what India has gone through.\u00a0I would love to take my band\u00a0across cities in\u00a0India to do a Peace show and involve\u00a0members of the film and music community\u00a0from India with whom\u00a0I have worked with in the past but that seems difficult at the moment.\u00a0Therefore, we have delayed the release of the album\u00a0in India and Pakistan and will announce\u00a0a re-scheduled date very soon.&#8221; <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0He added: &#8220;I would\u00a0like to add that\u00a0it&#8217;s not the nations\u00a0that hate each other but certain political faces and agencies. Terrorists have no religion and it&#8217;s sad for them to think that \u2018jannat\u2019 is a result of jihad. Time is the best healer.
