{"id":8564,"date":"2008-01-22T16:58:42","date_gmt":"2008-01-22T16:58:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2008\/01\/22\/i-dont-compete-with-anyone-salman-khan\/"},"modified":"2008-01-22T16:58:42","modified_gmt":"2008-01-22T16:58:42","slug":"i-dont-compete-with-anyone-salman-khan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2008\/01\/22\/i-dont-compete-with-anyone-salman-khan\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018I don\u2019t compete with anyone\u2019, Salman Khan"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Bollywood star dismisses industry rivalry<\/h3>\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"272\" hspace=\"10\" width=\"180\" align=\"right\" vspace=\"3\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/Image\/ArticleImages\/SalmanKhan180x232.jpg\"\/>BOLLYWOOD star Salman Khan has dismissed suggestions of an industry rivalry with some of his fellow stars.<\/strong> <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Khan, one of Bollywood biggest actors, told the BBC Asian Networks \u2018Love Bollywood\u2019 show he has never competed against fellow stars Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The 42-year-old actor, in London last week to unveil his new waxwork statue at Madame Tussauds, told the shows presenters: \u201cI don&#8217;t compete with anybody. I don&#8217;t compete with Shah Rukh, I don&#8217;t compete with Aamir, Saif or anybody. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cI don&#8217;t compete with myself. So, they don&#8217;t have a problem with me and they know that my house is an<span> open house.\u201d<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nHe added: \u201cI like the people that I work with, if I don&#8217;t like them, I won&#8217;t work with them.\u201d <\/span><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Khan also spoke about his charity \u2018The Salman Khan Foundation\u2019 which he launched last year which offers some of India\u2019s poorer communities\u2019 health-related financial aid.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>While Khan widely refuses to publicise his charity work, he hit out at the stars that do. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cI think it&#8217;s a big fraud to publicise the stuff that you do because I&#8217;ve seen people going and doing stuff and the whole press is there,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cThat&#8217;s what I used to think actually, earlier.
