{"id":8092,"date":"2014-11-20T11:22:30","date_gmt":"2014-11-20T11:22:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2014\/11\/20\/tuaib-and-the-magical-magnifier\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T14:50:17","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T14:50:17","slug":"tuaib-and-the-magical-magnifier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2014\/11\/20\/tuaib-and-the-magical-magnifier\/","title":{"rendered":"Tuaib and the Magical Magnifier"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Eight-year-old Gets Early Christmas Present <\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"1\" hspace=\"3\" vspace=\"10\" align=\"middle\" width=\"458\" height=\"191\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Tuaib-Hussain-458x191.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Primary school pupil Tuaib Hussain now has every reason to enjoy doing his homework.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#13;<br \/>\nFor the visually impaired Birmingham youngster has been provided with a special magnifier which enables him to see his schoolwork much more clearly.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#13;<br \/>\nEight-year-old Tuaib, a pupil at Barford Primary School in Ladywood, Birmingham, was diagnosed with ocular albinism, a genetic condition that reduces the pigmentation of the iris, two years ago.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n<span>&#13;<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#13;<br \/>\nBut, following contact with Focus Birmingham, Tuaib, who lives in Edgbaston, Birmingham, with his parents and three sisters, has been presented with an I-Loview portable electronic magnifier.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#13;<br \/>\nThe recently developed device, which has a seven inch screen, enables Tuaib to see normal sized print by significantly enlarging it.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#13;<br \/>\nHis mother, Hamida Begum, said: &#8220;Tuaib really likes his magnifier and it has already made a big difference to him.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#13;<br \/>\n&#8220;He says it is brilliant and he can now see things on it which means he is able to do his homework using the magnifier.&#8221;<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#13;<br \/>\nMrs Begum, whose three daughters are aged between two and 11, said Tuaib was diagnosed with ocular albinism at Birmingham Children&#8217;s Hospital after they noticed problems with his sight.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#13;<br \/>\nShe added: &#8220;He couldn&#8217;t follow movement with his eyes and wasn&#8217;t noticing things as he should.
