{"id":7567,"date":"2015-06-22T15:04:00","date_gmt":"2015-06-22T15:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2015\/06\/22\/coventry-teen-violently-assaulted\/"},"modified":"2015-06-22T15:04:00","modified_gmt":"2015-06-22T15:04:00","slug":"coventry-teen-violently-assaulted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2015\/06\/22\/coventry-teen-violently-assaulted\/","title":{"rendered":"Coventry Teen Violently Assaulted"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>18-Year-Old Racially Abused And Attacked Outside A Coventry Mosque<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"middle\" vspace=\"10\" hspace=\"3\" border=\"1\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/Image\/ArticleImages\/teenager-racially-assaulted-467x184.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Police in Coventry have launched an investigation into the assault on an 18-year-old which took place at 1am in Eagle Street, Foleshill.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The teenager, who wished to remain anonymous, was left with a black eye from the attack but did not sustain any serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>His father, Qudir Hussain, of Foleshill, has said he is certain the attack was racially-motivated.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The attackers are believed to have targeted the nearby Masjid-e-Zeenat-ul Islam mosque, in Stoney Stanton Road, and thrown stones at the windows before launching the attack on the teenager.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" vspace=\"10\" hspace=\"10\" border=\"1\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/Image\/ArticleImages\/teenager-racially-assaulted-250x200.jpg\"\/>\u201cI\u2019m really angry,\u201d Qudir said. \u201cThey went from one place to the other, they were clearly looking for trouble.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cApparently they were throwing things at the windows and shouting out racist abuse.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy son has a black eye. I did tell him to be careful and that he maybe shouldn\u2019t go out.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The teenager, who had been offering his evening prayers at the Jamia Mosque, left the mosque at around 12.30am a short while before the attack took place.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>He was approached by four men and two women, some of whom are believed to have been in a dark coloured Toyota car, who swore at him before attacking him from behind.  <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Qudir, 45, said: \u201cThey threatened him.
