{"id":7251,"date":"2015-02-11T10:50:05","date_gmt":"2015-02-11T10:50:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2015\/02\/11\/multi-faith-morning\/"},"modified":"2015-02-11T10:50:05","modified_gmt":"2015-02-11T10:50:05","slug":"multi-faith-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2015\/02\/11\/multi-faith-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"Multi-Faith Morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Stunning Photograph Wins Local Award<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" hspace=\"3\" border=\"1\" vspace=\"10\" align=\"middle\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/Image\/ArticleImages\/multi-faith-picture-467x184.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nA magical morning caught on camera from a Handsworth house has scooped a top prize in a local photography competition.&#13;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" hspace=\"10\" border=\"1\" vspace=\"10\" align=\"right\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/Image\/ArticleImages\/multi-faith-picture-image-250x200.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/>Ian Cartlidge\u2019s photo entitled \u2018Multi-Faith Handsworth\u2019 captures Lozells Central Mosque, New Testament Church of God, Hamstead Road Baptist Church and Villa Road Methodist Church.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The picture was selected from a wide range of entries submitted for the competition organised by the MyNeighbourhood (MyN) project \u2013 an initiative backed by Birmingham City Council to promote cohesive communities by giving them their own online space to share news, discuss issues and post events.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love the way it shows the diverse faith in the area and the many houses of worship\u201d said winning photographer Ian. \u201cJust off the right hand side of the picture is the Gurdwara Babe Ke, unfortunately I couldn\u2019t squeeze it into frame.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Cllr Shafique Shah awarded Ian with his prize, a tablet computer during a photography exhibition at the Library of Birmingham.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" hspace=\"10\" border=\"1\" vspace=\"10\" align=\"left\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/Image\/ArticleImages\/multi-faith-picture-mayor-250x200.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/>Commenting on the competition, Cllr Shah said: \u201cThe standard of entries was very high.
