A Five Meter Long Faux Fur Moustache Adorns Front Of Plane<\/h3>\n

\nBritish Airways is supporting the \u201cMovember\u201d charity campaign by painting its Airbus A319 aircraft with a giant moustache. <\/p>\n

\"\"\/The airline is raising awareness for a movement which fights against Prostate cancer by encouraging men to their facial hair. BA cabin crew member Kyle Patchett, who also proudly grew his own moustache, unveiled the airplane\u2019s new look.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The airline hopes to raise up to \u00a380,000 for Prostate Cancer Charity this year.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Liz Wilkinson, the airline\u2019s head of health services, said, \u201cWe\u2019re always delighted to support Movember, it\u2019s a charity that is very dear to our hearts here at British Airways, especially as our former CEO Lord Marshall suffered from the disease. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cAs well as raising money, the aim of the campaign is to raise awareness on the importance of early detection and prevention of the illness.\u201d <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A spokesman for the airline said it considered several moustache styles for the airplane \u2013 including the pencil (a la Errol Flynn), the handlebar (as worn by Joseph Stalin), and the horseshoe (like wrestler Hulk Hogan). They eventually settled on what they described as the \u201cconnoisseur\u201d, similar to the moustache on the face of a Pringles box.<\/p>\n

A five meter long faux fur moustache now adorns the front of the plane where passengers can pose for photos with it in return for donations.<\/p>\n
