{"id":6938,"date":"2014-10-14T16:42:13","date_gmt":"2014-10-14T16:42:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2014\/10\/14\/trojan-horse-schools-failing\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T13:57:53","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T13:57:53","slug":"trojan-horse-schools-failing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2014\/10\/14\/trojan-horse-schools-failing\/","title":{"rendered":"Trojan Horse Schools \u201cFailing\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Schools Have Not Improved<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"1\" hspace=\"3\" vspace=\"10\" align=\"middle\" width=\"458\" height=\"191\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Trojan-Horse-Ofstead-458X191.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Ofsted warns that five schools implicated in the Trojan Horse scandal have not improved and are \u201cfailing\u201d.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201ctoo much poor practice remained unchallenged during the summer term\u201d, said Ofsted chief Sir Michael Wilshaw.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The Trojan Horse controversy arose over an alleged plot to introduce hard lined Islamic views into schools.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Five schools were inspected without notification between the 8<sup>th<\/sup> and 12<sup>th<\/sup> of September, these schools were: Golden Hillock School, Nansen Primary School and Park View Academy \u2013 all run by the Park View Educational Trust (PVET), Oldknow Academy and Saltley School.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Problems included a lack of trust between staff members and accusations that it had taken too long to appoint new governors and senior leaders.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>At Park View Academy for instance, little was done to prevent segregation between female and male pupils so they could sit together in class and discuss ideas.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Ofsted chief Sir Michael Wilshaw wrote to the Education Secretary Nicky Morgan stating, &#8220;too much poor practice remained unchallenged during the summer term&#8221;.
