Police Appeal for Witnesses<\/h3>\n
Police in Walsall are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured with an air weapon.<\/font><\/div>\n

Officers were called at around 2.30pm after a man in his 30s was assaulted outside a house in Whitehall Road, Delves.\u00a0<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

It appeared the man had been shot to the head with an air weapon and had a pellet lodged in his face. \u00a0He has since been taken to hospital for treatment.<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Superintendent Maria Fox from Walsall police station said: “Officers arrived at the scene shortly after the assault was reported to us and following an area search, a man was arrested nearby in connection with firing the weapon. \u00a0<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

“We would like to reassure residents that this is an isolated matter, which appears to have taken place between two men known to one another.\u00a0<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/div>\n

“Inquiries are at an early stage and officers will remain in the area while they gather information relevant to their investigation.<\/div>\n
