{"id":6466,"date":"2014-02-25T12:10:18","date_gmt":"2014-02-25T12:10:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2014\/02\/25\/four-arrested-on-suspicion-of-terrorism-offences\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T13:48:06","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T13:48:06","slug":"four-arrested-on-suspicion-of-terrorism-offences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2014\/02\/25\/four-arrested-on-suspicion-of-terrorism-offences\/","title":{"rendered":"Four Arrested on Suspicion of Terrorism Offences"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Three Men and a Woman from the West Midlands<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"1\" hspace=\"3\" vspace=\"10\" align=\"middle\" width=\"512\" height=\"203\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/CTU-512x225.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Three men and a woman from the West Midlands have been arrested this morning (Tuesday 25 February) on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offences.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nOne of the men, who is aged 45 and from Hall Green, is suspected of attending a terrorist training camp and facilitating terrorism overseas.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThe others &#8211; a man aged 36 from Shirley, plus a woman aged 44 and her son aged 20 from Sparkhill &#8211; were detained on suspicion of facilitating terrorism overseas.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nAll four are being held at a police station in the West Midlands area.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nTheir three home addresses are being searched by officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Vehicles and electronic equipment are being removed for forensic analysis.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Head of investigations for WM CTU, Detective Superintendent Shaun Edwards, said: \u201cAll four arrests are connected. They were pre-planned and intelligence led.
