After being convicted of rape in a previous trial, 48-year-old Dalvir Singh from West Bromwich received a 15-year prison sentence for his crimes of sexual assault. He was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 6 February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our Public Protection Unit started an inquiry after a young woman reported the abuse she had suffered to her local GP surgery staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers quickly arrested Singh and he admitted to having sex with her multiple times but falsely accused her of coercing him into sex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The video recorded interview of the woman was crucial for getting a guilty verdict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have worked with other agencies and charities to support her throughout this ordeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
