Famous Pakistani folk singer Reshma died in Lahore on Sunday 4th<\/sup> sources have said. The legendary singer was suffering from throat cancer for a long time. Geo TV was quoted saying Reshma was in coma for a month.<\/div>\n

Reshma was just 12 years old when a producer spotted her singing at a shrine in Pakistan. The producer arranged for her to record her first song called \u2018Laal Meri\u2019 on radio. This was her first famous hit.<\/div>\n

Reshma is one of the most popular folk singers in Pakistan, she appeared on television in the 1960\u2019s recording songs for both the Pakistani and Indian entertainment industry.<\/div>\n

Born in Bikaner in India’s Rajasthan state to a Banjara family around 1947, her tribe migrated to Karachi shortly after partition.<\/div>\n
