{"id":5478,"date":"2011-08-26T16:49:47","date_gmt":"2011-08-26T16:49:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2011\/08\/26\/jora-and-vikram-are-top-of-the-class\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T13:09:03","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T13:09:03","slug":"jora-and-vikram-are-top-of-the-class","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2011\/08\/26\/jora-and-vikram-are-top-of-the-class\/","title":{"rendered":"Jora and Vikram are Top of the Class"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Maths GCSE joy for Wolverhampton duo aged just 11 and 13<\/h3>\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" vspace=\"3\" align=\"middle\" width=\"460\" height=\"259\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/JoraVikramHelipingHands_460x225.jpg\"\/><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div><strong\/><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div><strong\/><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div><strong>FRIENDS Jora Singh and Vikram Puri have aspirations to be a doctor and accountant \u2013 and they\u2019re well on their way after securing\u00a0grade A\u00a0Maths GCSE\u2019s aged just 11 and 13.<\/strong> <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The youngsters can count their success down to hard work, support from their families and help they received from Wolverhampton learning centre Helping Hands Tuition. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Set up in September last year, the private tuition company has supported more than 100 students achieve a multitude of successes. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>And two of those students, Jora and Vikram, are on a path to bigger and better things thanks to the support and guidance they received from the centre\u2019s fully qualified and experienced tutors. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Jora, 11, admits he was nervous about receiving his grade, but a brilliant A pass in Maths GCSE made all the hard work worth while. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cI was really nervous about getting my result but I\u2019m glad I don\u2019t have to think about it anymore and I\u2019m really happy with my pass,\u201d he told The Asian Today. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Jora hopes his pass will give him more to scream and shout about \u2013 he\u2019s hoping his proud parents will buy him a drum kit after they promised him a present as a result of his hard work. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>For Vikram, his grade A pass is testament to the belief and confidence shown in him by his uncle. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cMy uncle, Mr Puri, has always been a big push for me,\u201d the 13-year-old says.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cHe\u2019s always pushed me to do well, explaining how studying hard will help me in the future and will be a positive benefit for me.\u201d<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>With their passes achieved, the two teens will look to add even more as they continue on their education paths.
