{"id":5400,"date":"2011-08-08T14:02:11","date_gmt":"2011-08-08T14:02:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2011\/08\/08\/bollywood-stars-get-taste-of-nottingham\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T13:06:39","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T13:06:39","slug":"bollywood-stars-get-taste-of-nottingham","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2011\/08\/08\/bollywood-stars-get-taste-of-nottingham\/","title":{"rendered":"Bollywood stars get taste of Nottingham"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Award-winning Indian restaurant serves up dishes for Bollywood cast and crew<\/h3>\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" vspace=\"3\" align=\"middle\" width=\"460\" height=\"257\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/ArfanRazak_460x225.jpg\"\/><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div><strong\/><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div><strong\/><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div><strong>BOLLYWOOD stars Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are being treated to the taste of Nottingham \u2013 thanks to an award winning curry house in the city.<\/strong> <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Indian restaurant the Curry Lounge has started cooking for the cast and crew of a new Bollywood blockbuster film being made in the UK.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The restaurant, which was recently voted the best Indian venue in the East Midlands at the English Curry Awards, has been chosen to provide three meals a day to the stars and production team of Teri Meri Kahani as they travel around for three weeks during their shoot in and around Nottingham and Stratford-upon-Avon.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cA lot of businesses in Nottingham told the location managers that we could provide the best Indian food for the team,\u201d said owner Arfan Razak, better known as Raz.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cThey sent a member of the production to the restaurant under cover to try out our food, and apparently he loved it.\u201d<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Kunal Kohli, director and producer of Teri Meri Kahani, a romance starring Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, wanted a high-calibre Indian chef to make authentic home-cooked meals.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>A large proportion of the production team of the film, which is set to be a major Bollywood release, has come over from India to work on the film.
