{"id":5397,"date":"2011-07-26T16:26:19","date_gmt":"2011-07-26T16:26:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2011\/07\/26\/blackburn-couple-guilty-over-tot-death\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T13:06:33","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T13:06:33","slug":"blackburn-couple-guilty-over-tot-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2011\/07\/26\/blackburn-couple-guilty-over-tot-death\/","title":{"rendered":"Blackburn Couple Guilty over Tot death"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Seven-month-old girl suffered 18 \u2018horrendous injuries\u2019<\/h3>\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" vspace=\"3\" align=\"middle\" width=\"460\" height=\"269\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/KaroliaBlackburn_460x225.jpg\"\/><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div><strong\/><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div><strong\/><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div><strong>A BLACKBURN couple have been found guilty of inflicting 18 \u2018horrendous injuries\u2019 to one of their twin baby girls who later died.<\/strong> <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Mohammed Karolia, 29 and his wife Nafisa Karolia, 22 of Dickens Street, Blackburn both denied two charges of child neglect but were found guilty following a six week trial at Preston Crown Court.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Their seven-month-old daughter, identified as Baby M, was pronounced dead on 15th June 2009 after being admitted to the Royal Blackburn Hospital with breathing difficulties. A post mortem revealed she died from Bronchopneumonia which the jury decided was brought on by her debilitating injuries.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The court was told Baby M sustained separate 18 injuries including damage to her spinal cord, fractured ribs, fractures to her arm and broken legs.
