{"id":4791,"date":"2010-07-16T10:24:21","date_gmt":"2010-07-16T10:24:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2010\/07\/16\/new-images-in-street-murder\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T12:44:04","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T12:44:04","slug":"new-images-in-street-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2010\/07\/16\/new-images-in-street-murder\/","title":{"rendered":"New images in street murder"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Detectives in fresh appeal one week after death of city student Jay Sudra<\/h3>\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" hspace=\"10\" alt=\"\" vspace=\"3\" align=\"right\" width=\"180\" height=\"281\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/JaySudraCCTV2_180x232.jpg\"\/>ONE week on from the murder of 21 year old Jay Sudra, detectives are releasing a detailed image of the man they urgently want to speak to.<\/strong><br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nJay was walking home from work at around 11.20pm on Marsh Lane, Erdington on Friday evening when he was approached from behind in what police believe was an attempted robbery.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nJay was stabbed in the chest and died from a single stab wound to his heart.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>He managed to stumble home where his horrified mum, neighbours and paramedics struggled to save him<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nDet Insp Paul Joyce is leading the murder investigation:<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u201cThis has been an incredibly fast moving investigation and we have great support from the community of Erdington.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u201cEarlier in the week we released CCTV footage of a man we are keen to speak to, we now have further images, of much better quality, and we ask for the public\u2019s help again.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u201cDo you know this man? Is it someone you know of? Did you see him last Friday or recognise his face?<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u201cWe need to hear from you. Your information, however small you may think it may be, could make a vital difference to our investigation.\u201d<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nDetectives from West Midlands Police will be carrying out anniversary appeals on <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" hspace=\"10\" alt=\"\" vspace=\"3\" align=\"right\" width=\"180\" height=\"268\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/JaySudra_180x232.jpg\"\/>Friday evening, at Marsh Lane with uniform officers and local pcso\u2019s. <br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nJay lived in Erdington, was one of three children, had two sisters and a number of nephews and nieces. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Hi family described him as a \u201cgentle person with positive energy\u201d and who was \u201calways smiling.\u201d<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>DI Joyce believes somebody local holds the key to unlocking who did this:<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u201cPerhaps you have noticed someone\u2019s behaviour had changed since last Friday night. Perhaps as a parent, you\u2019ve noticed changes in behaviour, perhaps someone has disappeared.
