{"id":4596,"date":"2010-04-08T15:02:29","date_gmt":"2010-04-08T15:02:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2010\/04\/08\/cctv-appeal-in-hunt-for-missing-man\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T12:33:39","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T12:33:39","slug":"cctv-appeal-in-hunt-for-missing-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2010\/04\/08\/cctv-appeal-in-hunt-for-missing-man\/","title":{"rendered":"CCTV appeal in hunt for missing man"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Mahmood Ahmad missing for over a month as police continue hunt<\/h3>\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" hspace=\"10\" vspace=\"3\" align=\"right\" width=\"180\" height=\"286\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/MahmoodAhmad_180x232.jpg\"\/>DETECTIVES investigating the disappearance of a Watford man whose severed thumb was found three days after he was reported missing have released CCTV footage of his car.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Mahmood Ahmad has not been seen since he left work at a kebab house in Watford on 7 March. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>CCTV footage released by Hertfordshire Police shows Mr Ahmad\u2019s car, a black Citroen C2, in Pitfield Street, Hackney just before 1am on 7 March. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Police believe he was kidnapped from outside his home on Radlett Road hours later. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Three days later Mr Ahmad\u2019s dismembered thumb was found in Ilford.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Detective Chief Inspector Mel Burn, of the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said Mr Ahmad\u2019s family were desperate for answers into his disappearance.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0\u201cA month on from when police received the missing persons call about Mahmood from his family, we are renewing our appeal for information,\u201d he said. <br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u201cWe are hoping this fresh footage will jog people\u2019s memories about what they may have seen around the time of his disappearance. <br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u201cThis is a very difficult time for Ahmad\u2019s family, to still have no news, and your information could help to finally give them the answers they so desperately need about him.\u201d<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Mr Ahmad\u2019s family have set up a website and Facebook page to appeal for information on his kidnapping.
