{"id":3722,"date":"2009-03-06T12:10:28","date_gmt":"2009-03-06T12:10:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2009\/03\/06\/family-offer-10000-reward-to-find-fathers-killer\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T11:33:04","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T11:33:04","slug":"family-offer-10000-reward-to-find-fathers-killer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2009\/03\/06\/family-offer-10000-reward-to-find-fathers-killer\/","title":{"rendered":"Family offer \u00a310,000 reward to find father\u2019s killer"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Detectives \u2018very close\u2019 to solving the case<\/h3>\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"277\" hspace=\"10\" width=\"180\" align=\"right\" vspace=\"3\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/HarunKhan_180x232.jpg\"\/>THE FAMILY of a taxi driver who was shot dead outside his home a year ago have today offered a \u00a310,000 reward in a bid to bring his killers to justice.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Married father-of-four Harun Khan was gunned down outside his home on Tudor Street, Tipton on 3 March 2008. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The 39-year-old, known locally as \u2018Tala\u2019, was rushed to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley but died despite frantic efforts to save him. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Police immediately launched a murder investigation with particular appeals for information on a male who was seen running away from the scene. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The man, who was wearing dark clothing and running with either a limp or peculiar gait, fled the scene along Tudor Street towards Coneygree Road. He was last seen turning right towards the railway bridge. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Today his distraught family announced details of the \u00a310,000 reward as detectives revealed they were \u2018very close\u2019 to solving the case.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>In a statement Mr Khan\u2019s family said they were determined to have his killers caught. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cIt has been a year since Harun was murdered.
