{"id":3653,"date":"2009-02-04T14:51:00","date_gmt":"2009-02-04T14:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2009\/02\/04\/jihad-leaflet-woman-pleads-guilty\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T11:31:20","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T11:31:20","slug":"jihad-leaflet-woman-pleads-guilty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2009\/02\/04\/jihad-leaflet-woman-pleads-guilty\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Jihad leaflet\u2019 woman pleads guilty"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Shella Roma to be sentenced next month<\/h3>\n<div><strong>AN OLDHAM woman has pleaded guilty to producing a leaflet which encouraged a Holy War.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Shella Roma, 28, of Chester Street, Werneth, Oldham, appeared at Manchester Crown Court yesterday and was due to go on trial alongside her husband Amjad Mahmood, 30. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Roma was arrested after a man working at a photocopy shop in Ashton-under-Lyne contacted police about a leaflet she had asked to be copied. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The shop assistant copied the document 200 times as requested, but was so shocked by what he had seen that he called police.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe document was an eight-page essay, entitled The Call, and contained theological, political and historical commentary and mentions the 9\/11 attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York and the War on Terror.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nRoma wrote the document and asks in the essay, &#8220;Will you go to Jihad (holy war)?&#8221; The document ends with the statement: &#8220;Jihad: the choice is yours.&#8221;<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>She will be sentenced on 20 March.
