{"id":3498,"date":"2008-11-17T15:28:53","date_gmt":"2008-11-17T15:28:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2008\/11\/17\/man-pleads-guilty-to-murdering-wife\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T11:23:22","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T11:23:22","slug":"man-pleads-guilty-to-murdering-wife","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2008\/11\/17\/man-pleads-guilty-to-murdering-wife\/","title":{"rendered":"Man pleads guilty to murdering wife"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<h3>Mohammed Rashid to be sentenced next month<\/h3>\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"266\" hspace=\"10\" width=\"180\" align=\"right\" vspace=\"3\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/SughraRani_180x232.jpg\"\/>A MAN has pleaded guilty to murdering his wife at their Oxfordshire home.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Mohammed Rashid, 35, appeared at Oxford Crown Court in relation to the death of his wife Sughra Rani, 30. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Mrs Rani was found by Thames Valley Police at a property in Mold Crescent, Banbury, after officers were called there on Tuesday, 16 September. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Rashid, who spoke only to confirm his name and enter a plea, has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on 5 December. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>A statement released by Mrs Rani\u2019s brother Mohammed Munawwar at the time of her death described the mother-of-two as a \u201cgood daughter, daughter-in-law and mother\u201d.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The statement added: \u201cHer family will miss her greatly; she was extremely hard working and cared for her family.
