{"id":3173,"date":"2008-04-14T14:35:23","date_gmt":"2008-04-14T14:35:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2008\/04\/14\/coventry-duo-scaling-new-heights-for-orphaned-kids\/"},"modified":"2016-01-07T10:54:07","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T10:54:07","slug":"coventry-duo-scaling-new-heights-for-orphaned-kids","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2008\/04\/14\/coventry-duo-scaling-new-heights-for-orphaned-kids\/","title":{"rendered":"Coventry duo scaling new heights for orphaned kids"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<div><strong>A COVENTRY businessman is spearheading a quest to raise more than \u00a310,000 for charity by urging people to visit social networking website Facebook.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>23-year-old Coventry entrepreneur Riz Navsarka has set up a Facebook group in response to cousin Haroon Mota\u2019s quest to scale the heights of K2 for charity this Autumn.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Riz, director of the cosmetic coloured contact lens company MesmerEyez, originally donated \u00a3500 to Haroon for the challenge who has so far raised a staggering \u00a33,500 for orphaned children around the world. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>In an attempt to push the figure closer to the \u00a310,000 mark, Riz has now created a &#8216;I love MesmerEyez&#8217; group on Facebook where he will donate 5p for every person who joins the group this month. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cI believe no mountain is high enough. When I set myself a goal, I achieve<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>It\u201d, Riz said. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cIt is that positive, enthusiastic mind set coupled with my determination to keep grounded and keep close to my roots that has got me where I am. It is that same mind set that will allow Haroon to get the top of K2; I support his cause 100%\u201d.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Coventry University graduate Riz is one of the city\u2019s youngest entrepreneurs having set up his company at the age of 19.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Aside from running his business he spends much of his time helping his local community.
