{"id":31333,"date":"2020-02-17T16:05:37","date_gmt":"2020-02-17T16:05:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/?p=31333"},"modified":"2020-02-17T16:09:28","modified_gmt":"2020-02-17T16:09:28","slug":"teenage-driver-crashes-car-during-police-chase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2020\/02\/17\/teenage-driver-crashes-car-during-police-chase\/","title":{"rendered":"Teenage Driver Crashes Car During Police Chase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A car collided into two parked vehicles following a police chase after it failed to stop on Sunday 16 February around 10.30am in Sparkbrook<\/p>\n<p>The driver a 19-year-old lost control and crashed into two vehicles parked at the junction of Anderton Road and Sydenham Road, outside the mosque, injuring himself and his passenger.<\/p>\n<p>Both were taken to hospital and the driver will be interviewed by police in due course.<\/p>\n<p>A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: \u201cWe are investigating after a car which failed to stop for officers on Anderton Road at the junction with Sydenham Road in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, collided with two parked cars just before 10.30am yesterday (Sunday 16 February).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe driver of the car was taken to hospital with leg injuries, where he remains today (Monday 17 February).<\/p>\n<p>West Midlands Fire and paramedics also attended.<\/p>\n<p>A ambulance spokeswoman said: \u201cWe were called to Sydenham Road by police to reports of a two car collision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt involved two teenagers. Two ambulances attended.
