{"id":31072,"date":"2020-01-17T12:02:05","date_gmt":"2020-01-17T12:02:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/?p=31072"},"modified":"2020-01-17T12:02:05","modified_gmt":"2020-01-17T12:02:05","slug":"robbers-forced-victim-to-pay-20-to-get-phone-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2020\/01\/17\/robbers-forced-victim-to-pay-20-to-get-phone-back\/","title":{"rendered":"Robbers Forced Victim To Pay \u00a320 To Get Phone Back"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>West Midlands Police have released a CCTV image of four men they would like to speak to.<\/p>\n<p>A 64-year-old man was forced to hand over \u00a320 to a robber to retrieve his phone moments after he was threatened at knifepoint.<\/p>\n<p>West Midlands Police said the 64-year-old was waiting for public transport at Dudley bus station when he was targeted at around 12.30am on Sunday, January 5.<\/p>\n<p>One man threatened him with a blade and grabbed the phone off him<\/p>\n<p>But the victim managed to get his phone back after handing over \u00a320, a spokesman for the force revealed.<\/p>\n<p>CCTV images of four men police would like to speak to has since been released.<\/p>\n<p>An online appeal reads: &#8220;Do you recognise any of these four men?<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019re investigating a robbery at Dudley bus station at 12.30am on Sunday, January 5, while a 64-year-old man was waiting for a bus.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Four men approached him, produced a knife and grabbed his phone off him. He managed to get his phone back, but only after handing over \u00a320, before they escaped.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight or call 101 anytime.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
