West Midlands Police are investigating into a hit-and-run on Soho Road, Handsworth.<\/p>\n
A man was found with serious head injuries, consistent with being hit by a car in the early hours of Saturday 31 August.<\/p>\n
Emergency services swooped on Soho Road at the junction of Thornhill Road \u00a0just before 4am.<\/p>\n
Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.<\/p>\n
His family are being supported by specialist officers.<\/p>\n
The man was a pedestrian and was hit by a passing car, which left the scene, police havde launched an investigation.<\/p>\n
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: \u201cWe are in the early stages of our investigation and our thoughts are with the family of this man at this very tragic time.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am asking for anyone who saw what happened to get in touch with us as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
\u201cPerhaps you saw the lead up to the collision, or the aftermath.<\/p>\n
