{"id":30065,"date":"2019-08-30T15:04:38","date_gmt":"2019-08-30T14:04:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/?p=30065"},"modified":"2019-08-30T15:10:04","modified_gmt":"2019-08-30T14:10:04","slug":"cruel-fate-as-mum-dies-after-giving-birth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2019\/08\/30\/cruel-fate-as-mum-dies-after-giving-birth\/","title":{"rendered":"Cruel Fate As Mum Dies After Giving Birth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A young mum gave birth to a baby boy, passed away minutes after delivering at Singleton Hospital in Wales on August 15.<\/p>\n<p>The mother underwent a cesarean section and moments later her heart stopped beating.<\/p>\n<p>Ravina Bhagwan, 29-years-old delivered her son Samarth safely now being looked after by Ravina&#8217;s husband Sagar Bhagwan has also left behind a seven-year-old daughter Sanvi.<\/p>\n<p>The family are looking for answers and an initial post-mortem examination, along with an independent panel inquiry, have yet to determine the cause of her death.<\/p>\n<p>Ashish Channawar, a family friend, said in a statement: &#8220;Ravina&#8217;s husband and her mother were with her during the last minutes and are devastated due to her unexpected and untimely death.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/family.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-30067\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/family-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/family-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/family.jpg 615w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The family is yet to recover from this unexpected and heavy loss.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Fate has been cruel to take away the mother of two young children at the very early age of just 29.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ravina was very social and welcoming in the community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ravina was born in India and worked there as a primary school teacher after finishing her university degree in education.<\/p>\n<p>After marrying Sagar they moved to the UK and welcomed daughter Sanvi into the world in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>More than 200 people attended Ravina&#8217;s funeral which was held at Swansea Crematorium on Wednesday, August 28.<\/p>\n<p>Ashish added: &#8220;Many people travelled all the way from Newcastle, Swindon, and London which shows the strong ties of the family with the community across the country.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The hearts of every person at the cremation sank when Ravina&#8217;s mother and Sagar broke down while paying the final goodbye to her.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A GoFundMe page has been set up by Ashish to raise money to support her two young children.<\/p>\n<p>Ashish added: &#8220;It is a very painful time and we are yet to recover from the shock and unable to accept the reality.
