Police are in search for missing 16-year-old and have released a new image.<\/p>\n
Abdul Madgid Fares has been missing from his Leicester city centre home since Thursday 22 August.<\/p>\n
Leicestershire Police issued an initial appeal on Friday,\u00a0along with a picture of Abdul wearing a navy coat.<\/p>\n
Police has now released a new, clearer image of the youth, in which he is wearing a grey, Nike, tracksuit top. He was wearing the top when he was last seen on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Abdul has been described as short, and with dark hair. He also wears glasses.<\/p>\n
Officers are urging the teenager, or any of his friends, to make contact as his family are extremely concerned for his safety and welfare.<\/p>\n
Pc Jo Insley said: “Abdul is not in any trouble and both his family and ourselves just want to ensure he is OK and is safe.<\/p>\n
“We are urging Abdul to make contact with family, police or another trusted adult\u00a0to let us know this.<\/p>\n
“If any of Abdul\u2019s friends know of his whereabouts or have seen or heard from him – or anyone else believes they have any information regarding Abdul, we also urge them to get in touch.<\/p>\n
“Thank you to everyone so far who has helped with inquiries including by sharing our appeals.”<\/p>\n
Anyone with any information about Abdul’s whereabouts should ring police on 101.<\/p>\n
