Hussain sisters, 39 year old Mhreen and 37 year old Sabeen have recently completed their Access course with Distinction at Bournville College, which takes them a step closer to becoming teachers.<\/p>\n
Access to Higher Education Diploma\u00a0is a one year qualification which prepares people without traditional qualifications for study\u00a0at university.<\/p>\n
Before starting their Access course, the sisters, who have eight children between them, were full-time mothers and were involved in community work in their spare time.<\/p>\n
They will be attending University of Birmingham in September, which is ranked 14th<\/sup>\u00a0in the country according to\u00a0The Times<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0The Sunday Times<\/em>\u00a0Good University Guide.<\/p>\n Sabeen has dreamt of going to university since she was 7, when she used to travel passed Aston University on the bus. Now she is excited to be fulfilling her dream.<\/p>\n Mhreen was inspired at primary school to become a teacher and now that her children are grown-up, she too is fulfilling a lifetime ambition.<\/p>\n When asked what advice they would give to future Access students, they both agreed by saying \u201cAttitude is important. It\u2019s an intense course, but enjoyable and worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n They were keen to stress \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid to make mistakes.
