{"id":2963,"date":"2008-01-09T17:00:22","date_gmt":"2008-01-09T17:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2008\/01\/09\/woman-found-guilty-of-ex-boyfriends-murder\/"},"modified":"2016-01-06T17:28:08","modified_gmt":"2016-01-06T17:28:08","slug":"woman-found-guilty-of-ex-boyfriends-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2008\/01\/09\/woman-found-guilty-of-ex-boyfriends-murder\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman found guilty of ex-boyfriend&#8217;s murder"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"272\" hspace=\"10\" width=\"180\" align=\"right\" vspace=\"3\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/DimpleScaife180x232.jpg\"\/>A WOMAN who stabbed her child\u2019s father through the heart in a jealous rage has been found guilty of murder.<\/strong> <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Dimple Scaife, 18, of Leicester was found guilty at Leicester Crown Court of stabbing Jake MacKay through the heart in December 2006. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>A 15-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was also charged with murder but was found not guilty. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>During the five-week trial, Leicester Crown Court heard the relationship between Scaife and Mr Mackay had broken down even though they had an 18-month-old child together. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Armed with a kitchen knife Dimple arranged to meet Jake&#8217;s new girlfriend outside the Spar Supermarket on Fosse Road South, Leicester, on 20 December 2006. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Mr Mackay went to Fosse Road South instead of his girlfriend and an argument ensued with the defendants which ended in the assault. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Mr Mackay received a stab wound to the chest and two to his back near his shoulder. He was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary but died a short time later as a result of a puncture wound to the heart.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Scaife, who was 17 at the time of the murder, denied murder and had claimed she was provoked and acted in self defence.
