Birmingham-based SME, Bootcamp Media, will be hosting a popular networking lunch at Simpsons restaurant this month (JULY) to help raise vital funds for Birmingham St Mary\u2019s Hospice.<\/p>\n
The digital marketing agency will be hosting the next \u2018Phoenix Business Lunch\u2019 at Simpsons Restaurant in Edgbaston on Thursday 25 July, to give city professionals an opportunity to connect and show their support for the local charity.<\/p>\n
Generous networkers will be able to enjoy a three course lunch at the Michelin-starred restaurant whilst they meet like-minded business professionals from across the city. There will also be a chance to support the Hospice \u2013 which is celebrating its 40th<\/sup> anniversary this year \u2013 by taking part in raffles, collections and other fundraising activities.<\/p>\n Jamil Shabir, managing director at Bootcamp Media, said: \u201cThe Phoenix Business Lunch has been running for nearly 25 years now and its popularity is down to its combination of networking with fundraising for important charities.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m really excited to be hosting my second Phoenix networker for Birmingham St Mary\u2019s \u2013 at our last event we raised over \u00a34,000 for the Hospice and so I hope we can beat that figure this time round. It\u2019s set to be a really special lunch \u2013 especially as we\u2019ll be dining on amazing Michelin standard food by Simpsons \u2013 and so I\u2019m really looking forward to welcoming people to the event and encouraging them to show their support for this great local charity.\u201d<\/p>\n Birmingham St Mary\u2019s Hospice provides vital care to local people and their loved ones who are living with life-limiting illness.<\/p>\n Pamela Hodgetts, corporate fundraising officer at the Hospice, added: \u201cThe Phoenix Business Lunches are always popular and so we\u2019re honoured that Jamil and the Bootcamp Media team have chosen to support the Hospice at their next event. We know it\u2019s going to be a brilliant afternoon at Simpsons \u2013 complete with fantastic food and company \u2013 and so we\u2019re really looking forward to spreading the word about the vital care we provide at the Hospice.<\/p>\n \u201cThis year is a particularly special one for the Hospice as we\u2019re celebrating 40 years of care across Birmingham and Sandwell. It will cost \u00a38.3 million to run our crucial services during our ruby anniversary year and so every pound raised at the Phoenix Business Lunch will enable us to continue to care for people wherever and whenever they need it.\u201d<\/p>\n When the Hospice first opened in 1979, it could care for 25 people on any given day.
