{"id":2962,"date":"2008-01-08T16:01:52","date_gmt":"2008-01-08T16:01:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2008\/01\/08\/bhutto-political-heir-pleads-for-privacy\/"},"modified":"2016-01-06T17:28:07","modified_gmt":"2016-01-06T17:28:07","slug":"bhutto-political-heir-pleads-for-privacy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2008\/01\/08\/bhutto-political-heir-pleads-for-privacy\/","title":{"rendered":"Bhutto political heir pleads for privacy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<div><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"220\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"10\" width=\"232\" align=\"right\" vspace=\"3\" src=\"http:\/\/theasiantoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/BilawalBhutto232x180.jpg\"\/>THE SON of assassinated Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto has made a plea for privacy as he returned to Britain for his studies.<\/strong> <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed a press conference in central London where he pleaded for the world\u2019s media to allow him to continue his studies at Oxford University without distraction. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Since the assassination of his mother and his subsequent new role as head of the Pakistan People\u2019s Party, the teenager has been the subject of a number of revealing newspaper articles detailing his life as a student at Britain\u2019s top university. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Two hoax profiles on the popular social networking website Facebook have also been taken down. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Flanked by party officials and aides the 19-year-old criticised the lengths some journalists had gone to in tracking down his personal details, particularly on the social networking site, Facebook. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#8220;When I am at Oxford I hope I can be left alone,&#8221; he said.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>He said he agreed to take over from his mother because &#8220;politics is in my blood&#8221;. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#8220;Why have I become chairman of the PPP, founded by my grandfather 40 years ago? The answer to this question is because it was recognised at this moment in crisis the party needed a close association with my mother through the bloodline,&#8221; he said. \u00a0<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#8220;Also it was important to give hope to the new generation of Pakistanis who are looking not just to these elections but beyond.&#8221; <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>&#8220;Politics is also in my blood.
