Metro Bank, the revolution in British banking, is set to open a brand-new store in Birmingham this summer, creating around 25 new jobs for local people. The store, located on the corner of New Street and High Street, will combine face-to-face banking with state-of-the-art technology, providing residents and businesses with a customer-focused and convenient banking experience.<\/p>\n
Customers will be able to visit the store seven days a week, with no appointment needed, and open a personal or business account on-the-spot, leaving with their debit card in hand, along with internet and mobile banking set-up.\u00a04,500 safe deposit boxes will also be available, with customers able to reserve a box from a month before the store opening.<\/p>\n
Known for its exceptional customer service, Metro Bank recently achieved the top spot in the CMA\u2019s Service Quality Survey1<\/sup>.\u00a0The bank continues to grow its store network at a time when other traditional players in the industry are closing branches. The Birmingham city centre store will be the first of four to open in the region this year followed by new stores in Solihull, Merry Hill and Wolverhampton.<\/p>\n Local companies will benefit from a Local Business Manager ready to help them run and grow their businesses, as well as having free access to the Forum of Private Business\u2019 wealth of bespoke resources and free use of the store\u2019s meeting space.<\/p>\n Local residents and businesses are also encouraged to attend the store\u2019s free events that are hosted throughout the year, from networking sessions, to charity fundraisers and family craft events.<\/p>\n Birmingham City Council Leader, Cllr Ian Ward said:<\/strong> \u201cBirmingham\u2019s residents want a well-connected and vibrant city centre, it\u2019s great to see\u00a0another new business investing in UK\u2019s second city.
