{"id":2954,"date":"2007-12-14T13:45:44","date_gmt":"2007-12-14T13:45:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2007\/12\/14\/chip-shop-murder-victim-named\/"},"modified":"2016-01-06T17:27:56","modified_gmt":"2016-01-06T17:27:56","slug":"chip-shop-murder-victim-named","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2007\/12\/14\/chip-shop-murder-victim-named\/","title":{"rendered":"Chip shop murder victim named"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<div><strong>DETECTIVES investigating the murder of two men in a Shropshire village have released the name of one of the deceased.<\/strong> <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>He has been named as 31-year-old Jaswant Singh Bajwa who lived above the Shawbury Fish Bar where his body was discovered last week.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Police said he originated from the Punjab area of India where most of his family lives. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>He was identified by a close relative living in England. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>A relative of the second victim is flying from India over the next few days to confirm his identity. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Detectives were granted a 36 hour extension to continue interviewing suspect Sukhdave Singh who was arrested in Smethwick in west Midlands earlier this week. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Mr Singh, who is in his 20s, had shared a flat in Shawbury with Mr Bajwa and the other victim.
