Former Head of the Bank of England Lord Mervyn King was in Birmingham last week (13 April) for a charity lunch in aid of Midlands charity, Acorns Children\u2019s Hospice. <\/strong><\/p>\n

A Patron of Acorns, Lord King was interviewed by Marc Reeves, Midlands editor-in-chief of Reach PLC at the event, which was attended by representatives from businesses and organisations across the West Midlands.<\/p>\n

Held at the Opus restaurant on Cornwall Street, the ticketed event gave attendees the opportunity to hear from Lord King on wide ranging subjects including sport, politics and economics before a short question and answer session.<\/p>\n

Acorns Children\u2019s Hospice offers a network of specialist palliative care and support for babies, children and young people with life limiting and life threatening conditions, as well as support for their families.<\/p>\n
