{"id":2886,"date":"2007-11-09T14:32:25","date_gmt":"2007-11-09T14:32:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tat.reddaisytrading.co.uk\/index.php\/2007\/11\/09\/travel-operators-dismissing-meningitis-threat\/"},"modified":"2016-01-06T17:25:04","modified_gmt":"2016-01-06T17:25:04","slug":"travel-operators-dismissing-meningitis-threat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theasiantoday.com\/index.php\/2007\/11\/09\/travel-operators-dismissing-meningitis-threat\/","title":{"rendered":"Travel operators \u2018dismissing\u2019 meningitis threat"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<div><strong>A BIRMINGHAM charity has claimed Hajj pilgrims are being put in danger by some travel operators who are dismissing the importance of being vaccinated against meningitis.<\/strong> <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>The Association of British Hujjaj UK, based in Birmingham, said some travel operators were advising Hajj pilgrims against the important vaccine. <\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>They accused the operators of obtaining the visas for them from Saudi embassies by producing forged meningitis vaccination.<\/div>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<div>Dr Syed Raza Hussain, senior GP and Executive Member of the charity said: \u201cMeningitis is a well known notorious killer disease.
