Designs have been revealed for the new \u00a360m Sandwell Aquatics Centre which will be the home of the Commonwealth Games in the Black Country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The centre is opening for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games in 2020, the centre will be able to hold around about 1,000 spectators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A 50m Olympic-sized swimming pool and 25m diving pool feature in the facility which will become a leisure centre in Smethwick after the Games have taken place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alongside the swimming pools, the centre will have a dry-dive area which allows people to try competition flips and jumps into a foam pit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will also be a gym at the Aquatics Centre featuring more than 100 pieces of equipment and a separate ladies gym. There will also be three studios, an eight-court sports hall, indoor cycling studio, sauna\/steam room and a caf\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The site, at Londonderry Playing Fields, will also include a 450 on-site car parking spaces, a football pitch and changing facilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
