Director Antonio Boparan of the family firm 2 Sisters Food has been charged with causing the death Cerys Edwards \u2013 more than three years after she died. Cerys was just one-years-old when she suffered multiple injuries in a car crash in Sutton Coldfield in November 2006 that left the youngster paralysed, unable to speak and needing round-the-clock care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After celebrating Cerys first birthday her parent\u2019s car was hit by a Range Rover that was travelling at 70mph in a 30mph zone. Cerys died in October 2015 \u2013 just weeks before her 10th birthday \u2013 at Birmingham Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr Boparan, aged 32, has now been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When she died, her devastated dad Gareth paid tribute to his daughter by saying her smile \u201cwould melt the hearts of anyone\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moving tributes were also paid at her funeral as Cerys was laid to rest in a pink coffin in the Staffordshire village where her father now lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The service of thanksgiving heard her favourite songs from Ollie Murs, Pharrell Williams and Let it Go from the Frozen movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
